Colby Lange

Colby Lange

Experienced Cycling Coach for All Levels

Biography:

Colby Lange is a 9-time National Champion across track and road, a 3-time World Championship Team member, Pan American Champion, and two-time Pan American Games medalist. He was also named first reserve for the U.S. team at the 2024 Olympic Games. Competing at the highest levels of international cycling has shaped his understanding of what it truly takes to perform consistently when the margins matter most.

Colby is passionate about helping athletes unlock their potential through a holistic, detail-driven approach to performance. While optimizing training volume, intensity distribution, nutrition, aerodynamics, and strength training are critical, he believes the most effective coaching plans are built around the athlete as a whole. That means accounting for work, school, family, travel, stress, and recovery not just what happens on the bike so training is sustainable, purposeful, and repeatable.

Before cycling, Colby spent his formative years as an alpine ski racer, traveling internationally and training alongside World Cup athletes and Olympic medalists. That early exposure to professional sport instilled a deep appreciation for long-term development, process-oriented thinking, and adaptability. Today, as a professional track and road cyclist, he continues to refine his coaching philosophy by competing and training among the world’s best.

As a coach, Colby enjoys working with motivated athletes who want to train with intention and confidence. Athletes working with Colby experience a highly engaged coaching relationship built on enthusiasm, clarity, and trust. He emphasizes not only structured, effective training, but also helping athletes understand the purpose behind their program so they can train with confidence, enjoyment, and long-term consistency.
