A season of racing recap from APEX athlete @dc_rides_bikes

Today I took a few minutes to reflect back on my season. Yep, I didn’t make it to Tokyo which kinda bummed me out, but when I started the season I had no expectations to race more than Huntsville and Nationals in Boise. And wow. I have to be really proud of what I accomplished this year. I would say I had a heck of a season! I won every domestic race and earned a podium spot at world champs! I’m also humbled and honored to be selected to the US National Team! Here is the season breakdown:

🥇1st Place Men's T2 Road Race - US Paralympics Cycling Open - Huntsville AL
🥉3rd Place - Men's T2 Time Trial - UCI Paracycling World Championship - Portugal

APEX athletes Shawn Morelli and Dennis Connors hea

APEX athletes Shawn Morelli and Dennis Connors headed to the Tokyo Trials Selections for US Paralympic Cycling in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past weekend.

Dennis placed 1st in the Time Trial and 4th overall, 1 spot away from selection in his first year racing the trike.

Shawn placed 2nd in the Time Trial and 2nd overall and secured her selection to Team USA for Tokyo- her second games appearance.

Congratulations to the athletes and their Coach, Simon Bennett!
