Foundation Training: More Than Just Core

We hope you have noticed we recently began offering a Foundation Training Class with coach Jeff Hoobler Monday’s at 6pm at the APEX Power House.

Foundation Training is a certified training method which focuses on activating your posterior muscular chain, anchoring the hips, decompressing the spine, and teaching you to take the burden of supporting the body out of your joints and put it where it belongs: in your muscles.

In short Foundation Training is a solution that gives you the means to change the way you move while correcting imbalances caused by prolonged sitting and other modern habits.

But what does that mean?

When we hear the term “Foundation” most will probably assume this class is just another “core” workout. You know, crunches, planks, and other stuff you might feel you can easily do at home.

Foundation Training, however, is truly much more than a core workout. Foundation Training utilizes guided poses and controlled motion to help you re-learn movement through application of proper muscle activation and your own proprioception of your movement.

In essence, Coach Jeff will break down your movement and application of force used within your given sport and help you learn to better apply that force through the pivots and levers of your body in order to create the most efficient and effective motion possible.

When you properly utilize muscular function and allow your spine to decompress and elongate you will not only improve performance but also greatly reduce injury risk caused by over use or ineffective use of muscle groups.

But, what I write here is nothing compared to experiencing Foundation Training for real.

So, be sure to use the 3 Free Power House Sessions we have made available to all first time users and join us Monday’s at 6pm. We are confident you will get as much out of Foundation Training as we have.
